I had them walk toward me instead of posing in place, hands together, looking down at the path rather than at the camera — that small choice is what keeps this from looking like a posed portrait and lets it read as a real moment on the way to the proposal. The low sun behind them backlit the whole scene, catching the haze in the hills and giving the white roses on either side an almost glowing edge.
Stonewall Ranch's rose-lined path curves along the hillside with sweeping views of the Malibu hills behind it — few venues offer this kind of scale and bloom in one frame, which is part of why it's become one of my favorite proposal locations to work with.
